The UC Center for Hydrologic Modeling recently released a study of our groundwater resources. These resources have been drawn on heavily in these past few years. The report identifies a serious threat to future municipal and agricultural use of groundwater. In the Central Valley, since 1962, we have lost approximately 50 million acre-feet of groundwater.
